The areas with low coronavirus rates in Bristol

All the neighbourhoods in Bristol and the surrounding area had at least three coronavirus cases confirmed in recent days.

A map produced by Public Health England which charts the spread of coronavirus every week shows the areas where there have been fewer than three cases in a seven-day period, with the latest figures covering October 14 to 21.

The latest dataset available marked nine Bristol areas as having fewer than three coronavirus cases from October 9 to 16, reflecting a rise in cases in the area.

Earlier in the month 16 Bristol areas were marked as having fewer than two coronavirus cases (from October 6 to 12).

The figures also show the number of Bristol neighbourhoods to have recorded double figures for positive coronavirus tests has more than tripled since the beginning of the month.

Public Health England data shows 56 neighbourhoods in the Bristol area recorded more than 10 covid-19 cases between October 13 and October 20.

Where is the data coming from?

You can see the latest national data on the government's website.

The map displays weekly data, which are updated everyday.

The data can be viewed by local authority but also by smaller sections called 'Middle Super Output Areas'.

The map highlights which areas of the nation have three or more confirmed cases of the virus and colour co-coordinates the areas by how many cases they have.
