The number of communities in Wales that have no current Covid-19 cases has fallen slightly.
There are now 22 areas where there have been fewer than two coronavirus cases in the last week – this is down from 24 last week, but down from above 300 of Wales 410 ward-level areas six weeks ago. This data comes the same day that First Minister Mark Drakeford announced that many of the remaining restrictions in Wales would be lifted.
Public Health Wales stops publishing data when there are two cases or fewer, as it could identify individuals.
Every day Public Health Wales (PHW) publishes hyperlocal data which includes areas with an average of 7,000 people, called middle super output areas. In practice this means there are statistics for areas like Canton in Cardiff, Morriston in Swansea, and Porth in Rhondda.
You can search for your area in the table at the bottom of the article. It should be stressed that even if your area is listed below this doesn't mean that you do not need to follow Covid-19 rules. Just because there are no cases doesn't mean asymptomatic transmission is not occurring.
These are the areas with virtually no coronavirus cases broken down by local authority according to PHW data published on Friday, August 6.
