The areas of Nottinghamshire most affected by coronavirus right now

Latest figures show a breakdown of the number of positive coronavirus cases across Nottinghamshire.

Data includes lab-confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 from pillar 1 (NHS hospital and Public Health England laboratories) and pillar 2 (commercial partner laboratories) of the Government's testing programme.

The latest surveillance report from Nottinghamshire County Council, based on daily data up to August 9, categories cases confirmed in the various areas of the county, with 3,169 cases reported overall. The figures do not include the area within the Nottingham city boundary. A separate weekly report on the city's figures will also be published.

Public health experts recently told Nottinghamshire Live large gatherings and car sharing had become particularly problematic, owing to the noticeable rise in case numbers in the past few weeks.

An outbreak was also confirmed at the Bakkavor Desserts factory in Newark, where a testing facility has now been set up to help track cases.

Newark has since been placed on the Government's 'watchlist' after a spike in coronavirus cases.
