The areas of Edinburgh that recorded zero coronavirus cases in the last seven days

12 neighbourhood areas in Edinburgh have registered zero Covid cases in the last seven days, according to Public Health Scotland.

We recently reported how the west of the city is being particularly hard hit by the virus, with most of the area turning red on a map of current Covid cases.

Newington continues to be the worst hit area of the entire city, with 28 active cases registered over the last seven days.

Edinburgh is set to enter into tier three of Covid restrictions next week, which will see hospitality venues re-opened but banned from serving alcohol.

Despite being placed in the second highest Covid tier, many areas in Edinburgh have not registered any Covid cases in the last seven days, including the huge area of Balerno and Bonnington Village, which has a population of 5,908 people.

Here are some of the other areas in Edinburgh that have recorded zero cases of Covid-19 in the last week.
