The area in every county in Ireland with the worst Covid-19 rate amid spike

A number of areas have seen their rate of coronavirus cases shoot up in recent weeks, it has emeged.

One of the key measures used by health officials throughout the pandemic here has been the 14-day incidence rate of confirmed cases per 100,000 population.

And the Department of Health has now released the latest statistics on the current rate in each Local Electoral Area in the country.

Several towns and regions have seen the rate drop in recent weeks, particularly in Dublin, but worryingly some regions are seeing the number of cases either increase or remain high.
