The Apprentice winner Alana Spencer secures national garage chain deal

Apprentice winner Alana Spencer has secured a major national contract just weeks after moving into her brand-new bakery in Aberystwyth.

The 2016 winner of the hit BBC One show revealed her luxury cake brand, Ridiculously Rich by Alana, has signed up with BP garages.

This will see them supply 100 sites in the UK - meaning there is good chance drivers will soon be coming across the brand.

It is the first major national contract for her business.

She said: "It’s obviously a really big moment in the progression of the business and I’m really excited by the opportunity BP have given me."

This summer she bought Lord Sugar out of the business in an amicable separation with the tycoon wishing her the best for the future.

Last month she opened a new bakery in her home town of Aberystwyth.

The business supplies over 50 franchises and a large number of retailers all across the UK, and their first ever shop has been opened as part of the new bakery.

Speaking after the launch Alana said: "The bakery has been something I have been dreaming of for a long time. My business now has its own home and I am so happy that I have been able to keep the business here, in my home town of Aberystwyth.

"Having the freedom of production and dispatch will allow us to grow faster and work with even more businesses, from smaller local ones to large national ones.

"We have already been in discussion with a number of retailers who are very keen to stock our current products and hopefully some of the new ones.
