The Apprentice: Who is in the 2022 final, and what date does it air?

All good things must come to an end, and it's fair to say series 16 of The Apprentice hasn't let us down in the entertainment stakes. But now the final two have been named, and we're counting down the days until the winner is crowned.

With more interesting characters than in any other series so far (sorry, we mean "more brilliant entrepreneurs") week after week we've been treated to the successes and failures of the candidates on many creative tasks. After a shaky start, when the boys' team seemed determined to only make products using the colours green and brown, the candidates have risen to their challenges admirably.

But now the show has made history by presenting us with our first ever all-female final. Which one of these female powerhouses will make it all the way, and be crowned this year's winner?

Who is in this year's final?

Kathryn Burn

The Apprentice 2022 candidate - Kathryn (BBC/(C) Ray Burmiston)

Kathryn Burn, 29, is one of the two women in line to be crowned champion. Her business plan is for an online pyjama business, as she's sure her designs will one day be "worn by everyone". The business woman, from Swindon, has previously worked in a range of sectors having been a mortgage adviser and an events manager. Kathryn claims she's ambitious, kind, but often also “savage”.

In the past she's made it clear that she's on the show to win, and not to make friends. Kathryn told Tellymix : "My dreams in my head are absolutely huge, and I believe I can achieve them."

Harpreet Kaur

The Apprentice 2022 candidate - Harpreet (BBC/(C) Ray Burmiston)

This 30-year-old from West Yorkshire is also hoping to go all the way on the show. Harpreet describes herself as a "born leader, fearless and funny" who is hoping Lord Sugar will be able to help her grow her current dessert business. She said she's more than ready to be Lord Sugar’s next business partner, and isn't on the show to make friends.

Harpreet told Tellymix: “I’m definitely not in business to make friends, I’m here to make money, and I’m pretty sure Lord Sugar isn’t looking for a new mate.”

When is the final on TV?

The final of The Apprentice will air on Thursday, March 24, at 9pm on BBC One. Lord Sugar will crown this year's winner after they battle it out to win his £250,000 investment.
