How to apply for the next series of The Apprentice

The production team behind the BBC show The Apprentice has started its search for candidates for series 17.

Naked - part of Freemantle Media - has posted the online application at the BBC's The Apprentice website.

The winner will receive a £250,000 investment in their business idea.

So far, Lord Sugar has invested almost £3million through The Apprentice.

Series 16 of the show is due to air on January 6. The 12-part series starts with task to come up with a marketing campaign for a new cruise liner, including creating a brand and a television advert.

This year, Lord Sugar is joined by Baroness Brady and the winner of series one, Tim Campbell MBE.

The return of the business based show coincides with the return of Dragons' Den.
