The Apprentice's Lewis Ellis gets tattoo of Lord Sugar with a gun after businessman branded his inkings 'horrific'

As the latest series of The Apprentice came to an end earlier this week, one of its contestants has celebrated in an unusual way.

Lewis Ellis has got a tattoo of Lord Alan Sugar - despite the pair having a Twitter spat last month when the businessman called Lewis' chest tattoos 'horrific' as he live-tweeted along with an episode of the BBC show.

The Rochdale-born digital marketer was the star in his teams advert when the candidates were tasked with launching an advertising campaign to promote summertime in Finland.

The groups ad saw Lewis whip off his shirt, showcasing his heavily tattooed arm and chest, much to Lord Sugar's disappointment who tweeted: "Lewis your tattoos are horrific. Tell me where I am missing the point. What does he look like?"

At the time Lewis hit back at the comment and went on to tweet his own body positive message alongside a picture of himself.

He tweeted: "Thank you everyone that took the time to show some support for my 'horrific' tattoos and pointing out no one has the right to judge you or your body."

But now he has gone a step further and got an inking of the 72-year-old - holding a gun.

Explaining the reason behind his new body artwork, which he got in Bolton, Lewis told the MailOnline : "I thought adding Lord Sugar would be a great reminder of my time on the show. I've always said my tattoos tell my story and now this part of my life is there forever.

"Lord Sugar had a bit of a dig at when he said 'my tattoos tell a story - what am I a Kindle?'

"So I wanted the tattoo to tell the story of what happened to me on the show which ultimately of course ended up with me being fired which is why he's holding the gun."

The 29-year-old added: "He also said that my kids wouldn't want to look at my tattoos when I had children. Maybe now they'll be one he will be happy for them to look at!"

Lewis didn't quite make it the Wednesday's grand final earlier this week, with Carina Lepore and her artisan bakery business plan getting Lord Sugar's backing and £250,000 investment.

But despite not making it to the end, Lewis hasn't given up on his dreams.

He told the M.E.N. that he has "got zero in the bank" but says he will "change that by making my business plan into a reality."
