The Apprentice's first million pound boardroom shocks Sir Alan Sugar as candidates smash record

The Apprentice saw it's first million pound boardroom on Wednesday night's episode as candidates smashed it out of the park and left Lord Alan Sugar gobsmacked.

On the episode, Lord Sugar's business associate Claude Littner unveiled that the winning group had took orders of over £1.2million for the task set by the boss.

The task was to create and sell their own range of electric bikes and generate sales to some of the UK's biggest cycle retailers.

Iasha Masood led the pitch in the boardroom as they nervously awaited the results.

Their team came out top for the task, as the other team only made sales of £437,700.

When Claude announced their huge difference in sales, Iasha's winning team cheered and jumped in the air to celebrate, as Sir Alan looked completely stunned.

Amazed fans took to Twitter to talk about the exciting news.

One gushed: "Fabulous 1.2 million of sales! Well done Iasha and team yous pulled it off! World Record 1.2 million of sales yaaay #TheApprentice #TheApprentice2019 Fantastic sophisticated Sarah pitch Iasha! (talked about the bike with great detail) Well done Iasha sticking to your guns!"

Another penned: "Over £1m in sales. Woah Aisha's going to win The Apprentice #TheApprentice "

The end of the episode saw Lubna Farhan get fired from the show, and she was told "your problem is you're too nice" by fellow contestant Thomas Skinner.

Esther McVey should buy Lord Sugar a very large drink if she ever bumps into him in a Westminster bar (BBC)

Lord Sugar told her: "Lubna, haven't seen much from you, and you certainly didn't do much in this task either - you didn't sell anything," before he pointed the finger at her to say she was fired."

But it's safe to say that the business mogul was left shocked as Iasha's team made history with the first million pound boardroom.
