The Apprentice final 2023 start time, finalists, last challenge and winner's prize

BBC One viewers will be tuning in on Thursday, March 22 to find out who The Apprentice will crown winner of series 17. The final show of 2023 will kick off at 9pm when one finalist will walk away with a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar himself.

This year's series kicked off on Thursday, January 5 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer with 18 ambitious candidates who were put through their paces in challenges and in the board room. Those taking part this year included a safari guide, a court advocate and the owner of a theatre school.

However it was Marnie Swindells, 28, and Rochelle Anthony, 35, who made it through the famous interview stage, beating Victoria, Dani and Megan in the all-female semi-final. They will now battle it out in the last instalment Sugar for the chance to win his £250,000 investment and become Lord Sugar's next business partner.

They will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year's winner Harpreet Kaur, whose dessert parlour business Oh So Yum has gone from strength to strength since winning the show.

But what time does The Apprentice final start, what will the last challenge entail and who are the finalists? Here's everything you need to know.

What time does The Apprentice start tonight?

The final episode will kick off as usual at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Thursday, March 23. The hour-long instalment will be followed by The Apprentice: You're Hired.

The show will see host Tom Allen joined by the winner and runner-up to look back over the past 12 weeks of the business-based reality show.

Who are The Apprentice 2023 finalists?

This year's finalists are Marnie Swindells, 28, and Rochelle Anthony, 35. London-born court advocate Marnie, 28, is a gold-medal winning boxer who snowballed her passion into an innovative business idea which she hopes will get Lord Sugar's investment.

She plans on opening a boxing gym near the Bank of England in London - if successful in winning the show. Rochelle is the owner of a hair salon and also runs a 'hair academy' in her home county of Bedfordshire. The 35-year-old hopes, with Lord Sugar's investment, to expand her business and open up more locations in London and Manchester.

What happens in the final and what is the winner's prize?

During the final, the two finalists go head-to-head one last time to become Lord Sugar's new business partner and win his £250,000 investment. The episode will see the return of some of this year's contestants as they help Marnie and Rochelle launch their business.

They must create a new brand for their company, produce a digital billboard, direct and edit a television advert and design a metaverse, then pitch it all to Lord Sugar and industry experts at a black-tie event.

The eventual winner of The Apprentice Series 17 will be given the opportunity to be Lord Sugar's business partner and receive an investment to the value of £250,000 founded on the basis of their idea For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
