The 16 candidates starring in The Apprentice 2019 have been announced.
The contestants hoping to win over Lord Sugar with their business acumen are competing for a £250,000 investment.
This year’s lineup includes the owner of an artisan bakery, a paralympic athlete and the owner of a pillow company.
In the first episode of the new series, which launches today, the contestants will be taken to Cape Town, South Africa on safari and vineyard excursions. In the following episodes they will be tasked with running a corporate away-day on a steam train, designing a theme park ride, and creating an advertising campaign in Finland.

Comedian, writer and actor Tom Allen will debut as the new host of You’re Fired, which is broadcast immediately after the main show each week.
Speaking at this year’s launch in London, Sugar called Boris Johnson a “criminal” after learning the Supreme Court had ruled against the Prime Minister by declaring his government had unlawfully shut down parliament for five weeks.
The Apprentice returns to BBC One tonight at 9pm, followed by You’re Fired on BBC Two.
