The Apprentice 2018: Alex Finn hits out at Sabrina Stocker for 'tactical' move switching his role during the task

The Apprentice reject Alex Finn has hit out at Sabrina Stocker for her “tactical” move forcing him to switch teams during the bodybuilding expo task.

Finn became the fourth casualty of the boardroom after being fired by Lord Sugar who branded him the “squirrel from the Wirral” following his failure to sell.

But, speaking about his exit to Standard Online, Finn lashed out at project manager Stocker for her task management.

The 21-year-old said: “When I said the wrong time and the wrong place I think that was misinterpreted. I meant that the wrong time and place for me was being in the sub team during the last hour of the day. 100% and beyond a stupid decision by Sabrina.

“The right time and the right place would have been in the product team for the whole duration of the day. She moved me over and that’s part of the reason I was fired.

“The only person to blame really was Sabrina. I had expressed to her, even at the start of the day, ‘look we might not get a huge amount of sales being high-ticket at the start of the day. It should come towards the end of the day, the last hour’. And then she decided to move me over which was obviously a very tactical move."

Finn also backtracked on his comment about spray tans being a “female product”, admitting that he said it out of “sheer frustration”.

Before delivering the dreaded two words, Lord Sugar said: “Alex, you say you are a good salesman, but frankly I'm struggling with... what have you done

Fired: Alex Finn was dragged back into the boardroom by Sabrina Stocker (BBC)

“You are the only one who didn't sell anything! I'm not sure whether you are made for this body-building business.

"Jean-Claude Van Damme was the muscles from Brussels. I have a picture of you being more like the squirrel from the Wirral.”

Tasked with shifting costly gym equipment, Finn struggled to lock down any sales and became frustrated at the way things were going leading Karren Brady to say she would be “shocked” if he made a sale.

The Apprentice continues Wednesday October 31 at 9pm on BBC One.
