The Angels’ Ben Joyce unleashed so many 100-MPH pitches in his debut just a year after being drafted

The name Ben Joyce should sound familiar if you’re a deep baseball fan.

If not? Let’s recap: We’ve written a bunch about the former Tennessee pitcher who dialed it up to 104 MPH in college … and also 105.5 MPH while he was a Vol.

If you were wondering what happened to him: He was drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in the third round of the 2022 MLB Draft, which is pretty wild. What’s wilder? He spent one full season in Double-A, then threw 15.2 innings this year before getting called up. He did total 44 Ks in 28.2 innings, which made this call easy.

And when he had his debut on Monday? PURE FIRE:

Can’t wait for more of this.
