The amazing dining bubbles where you can book to eat in Cardiff

Amazing dining bubbles have appeared in Cardiff - and you can now book to eat in them.

The bubbles have been set up at Cardiff Distillery on Cathedral Road and were made available this week to promote socially-distanced dining.

It's one way the business aims to keep going and cater for diners while keeping in line with coronavirus restrictions as lockdown measures continue to ease.

The distillery describes the bubbles as "an ideal way to spend time with your bubble in a safe manner while enjoying the restaurant/bar experience that we've all missed over the past four months."

When people visit to dine the doors of the bubbles are kept open as much as possible to ensure air can circulate.

Food and drinks are ordered via an app to ensure customers and staff come into as little contact as possible, and so you don't have to go back and fore the bar.

Each bubble is also thoroughly cleaned after each use by a fogging machine that kills Covid-19 and bacteria.

The aim of the quirky, very Instagram-able, bubbles is to be able to dine with your bubble inside a bubble - and the experience is proving a hit so far.

At Cardiff Distillery you can also make your own gin at the gin making school, embark on a gin-tasting experience and the team are also in the process of setting up a gin club.

As for what's on offer when it comes to food - you can order anything that's on the menu while dining at your bubble.

The full menu can be found on the website but there's lots to choose from including breakfast, pizzas fresh from the oven and a selection of Mezze boards.

If you're celebrating a special occasion you can also visit for a Prosecco brunch.
