Conveniently, the book is not only amazing but also not on fire! But it is definitely on fire in the metaphorical sense, and thus it undeniably lives up to the title. It is written by the popular British YouTubers danisnotonfire (Dan Howell) and AmazingPhil (Phil Lester), and is the story of their lives from the day they were born to how they became such iconic YouTube stars who had their own radio show on BBC Radio 1. If you have not stumbled upon these YouTubers yet, you are seriously missing out on life and to get to know them you should definitely pick up a copy of this book.
The book contains quirky tales such as the time Dan and Phil met One Direction, what Dan and Phil text each other, why Phil can’t have a hamster, reasons why Dan’s a fail, what happened in Vegas and so much more. This book is also a guide to young people who want to venture into YouTube as a career; it gives advice on being a YouTuber. It’s not really an emotional rollercoaster but the book will not fail to bring a smile to your face or make you laugh until there are tears in your eyes.
Moreover, the book also has whimsical artwork which makes you want to pick up the book and read it. It is narrated by both Dan and Phil, it is more like a dialogue between them which is represented by different colors. There is a variety of content in this book but there are also common topics such as the A-Z of Dan’s life and the A-Z of Phil’s life. This book is upbeat and brings out positivity, so if you are looking for a good laugh then you should definitely pick it up.
