The amazing Arsenal stat that will strike fear into Spurs, Chelsea & Man United in top-four race

Arsenal are absolutely flying at present and a place in next season's Champions League looks very much on the cards.

The Gunners haven't finished in the top four since the 2015/16 season but they are currently fourth with seven games left to play.

In fact, the team do have a game in hand and they will leapfrog Spurs if they win at Wolves and results go in their favour before the trip to Molineux later this month.

Looking set to miss out on Europe's elite competition earlier in 2019, Unai Emery's side have won seven from their last nine league games to charge up the table and close in on their great rivals.

Goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have certainly helped in recent weeks, with the midfield also chipping in with some important strikes.

Well, Arsenal are actually the most ruthless team in Premier League history at present with a conversion rate of 23.1% after scoring 65 goals from 281 shots.

The team's current record is actually better than Man City's from last campaign as they scored 106 goals from 512 shots for a 20.7% conversion rate.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool team for this season currently find the net with 20.1% of their shots, with City not that far behind at 19.8%.

Chelsea also feature high in the rankings with their 2016/17 title-winning team at 20.1%.

As good as Arsenal's record is in front of goal, what is noticeable is that they have only taken 281 shots with the likes of Man City and Liverpool at 420 and 359 respectively for the season so far.

The Gunners do have some tricky games coming up in the next few weeks and the team's form in front of goal could well be the difference between a Champions League or Europa League place come May.
