The Alfredo Morelos stick-or-twist for Rangers as Kenny Miller makes exit claim for striker

Former Rangers striker Kenny Miller believes Alfredo Morelos will depart Rangers this summer.

The 23-year-old Colombian scored 29 goals before the turn of the year but a barren spell came as Steven Gerrard 's side struggled after the winter break.

Miller played up front in three spells at Rangers and partnered with Morelos in the closing stages of his Ibrox career.

He currently works as Newcastle Jets technical director in Australia and believes Morelos will leave with English Premier League sides interested.

Speaking to BBC Sportsound, Miller said: "If you're getting £20million for Alfredo Morelos then you could look at that.

"There's some real strengthening you could go and do in that squad and that would probably deal with every area we've discussed.

"If he stays, there you go, the proof is in the pudding and you're guaranteed 25 goals - it's hard to replace that.

"It all depends on where his head is at because he did go off the boil as well, not just him, the whole team went of the boil in the second half of the season.

"So I wouldn't point the finger at Alfredo at all, he did go off the boil but he's still got 28 goals prior to that.

"It's a lot of goals to have scored in that five, six months of the season.

"I think he'll go. I've no information on that, I don't know where he'll go.

"But the noises even from Alfredo over the last few seasons I think he does want to move on.

"I think that's quite obvious, I think he does love it at Rangers but he wants to move on and progress."
