RYDER CUP WARM-UP...

Darren Clarke flexes his leadership muscles before the big one in September at the EurAsia Cup (from Friday, Sky Sports , 12.30am). This matchplay contest pits young European talent against Asia, the perfect chance to see Clarke’s captaincy before the Ryder Cup, especially if it proves as tense as last year when Asia battled back to earn a 10-10 draw.

ATHLETICS ON ALERT ...

On Wednesday, Wada will release the second part of its investigation into doping. The first was explosive enough with Russia suspended from international competition as a result. This may well be just as damaging, the information was withheld in November to allow a criminal investigation to take place on “corruption and bribery at the highest levels”.
