Morgan Gibbs-White says Rhian Brewster's glowing assessment of his spell at Swansea City was a key factor in his own loan move to the Liberty Stadium from Wolves.
On Tuesday afternoon, it was confirmed that Gibbs-White would spend the duration of the 2020/21 campaign with the Swans.
It means he has been re-united with Steve Cooper, the man he worked under when England won the Under-17s World Cup in India three years ago.
And the attacker says Liverpool striker Brewster had nothing but praise for the Swans, adding that he hopes to emulate the success the frontman - along with Marc Guehi and Conor Gallagher - had during his time in South Wales.
“I spoke to Rhian about his time down here and he said he loved every minute of it,” he told the club website.
“When I got that sort of feedback and I saw the sort of impact he had down here with the goals he scored, I looked at it and thought maybe I can do that.
“I am happy to be here and I cannot wait to impress the fans and show them everything I can do.
“I would love to follow on from what those three guys did here because they were a massive part of what went on last season in trying to get back to where we should be.
“That was one of the main reasons I wanted to come down here, because of their development, and I am hoping I can do the same and help the boys.”
Gibbs-White became Swansea's third signing of the summer.
Korey Smith arrived at the club on a free transfer after being released by Bristol City earlier this month while Freddie Woodman has re-joined on a season-long loan deal from Newcastle United.
