The advantage Leeds United have compared to other promoted teams when signing players this summer

The size of Leeds United as a club and the lure of playing in front of a packed Elland Road are the key advantages the Whites have in the transfer market compared to other promoted teams this summer.

That's the view of Sky Sports pundit Matt Le Tissier.

The Whites were crowned as second tier champions after Brentford lost to Stoke City, and fellow challengers West Bromwich Albion succumbed to defeat against Huddersfield Town.

The results combined ensured Leeds were promoted back to the top flight since relegation from the Premier League in 2004.

And by getting their hands on the Championship trophy, the Whites will clinch their piece of silverware in 28 years.

Looking ahead to next season, Marcelo Bielsa will be looking at the transfer market as he prepares his squad for the Premier League.

And, speaking on Soccer Saturday, Le Tissier feels the Whites have a couple of advantages over over sides who will join them in the top flight.

He said: "I certainly think the size of the club would make it easier to attract players there.

"If say, Brentford, were to go up at the same time, and a player had a choice between the two clubs, I think you’d look at the history of the two clubs, the size of the two clubs at the moment and most players would probably look at Leeds and think ‘I think I’d rather play in front of that full house’ then perhaps the one just down the road here (Brentford).

"It’s certainly an advantage for them.

"I think it’s been incredible the way he managed to re-energise the players after what happened last season to come back again, not just for himself but to get his players up and to do that is a massive credit to every single one of them players at Leeds United who went through that disappointment last season."
