The ACT has recorded another 142 COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Christmas Eve.
It was the fourth consecutive day the territory has set a record daily increase, as the Omicron variant spreads rapidly across Australia.
ACT Health has not released a full breakdown of data - including numbers of patients in hospital and intensive care - due to Christmas.
As case numbers soared, added strain has been placed on the ACT's testing regime. Christmas morning waits for PCR tests exceeded two hours at sites in Kambah, Mitchell and Garran.
