I met Janis Mackay, the author, on a school trip and while we were with her, she read us some snippets from her book, explaining things a lot more clearly than it did in the book and making me want to try it.
Later on I went to the library and found the book, so I took it out to read. I didn't manage to get it finished but luckily my dad, who I had told about the book, went out and bought me it to read! I then brought it to Spain and could hardly put it down! I brought it everywhere and felt that I was there watching each event unfold as I sat on the beach. I loved it as it was action-packed, but not as in fight scenes, as in lots of exciting things happened in it. I have now read it several times and each time I do, it seems to get better, and more AMAZING!
I think that I would never have been interested in it if I hadn't met Janis Mackay, who opened up a whole new world of reading and adventure for me. I would definitely recommend this book and give it 10 out of 10!
