The Aberdeen qualities Rijeka boss Igor Biscan spotted in secret spying trip

Rijeka manager Igor Biscan has revealed he made a hush-hush spying trip to watch Aberdeen in the Europa League.

But he's insisted he will only concentrate on the Dons once they play their weekend league fixture.

Aberdeen blew away Georgian side Chikhura Sachkhere in a 5-0 hammering at Pittodrie to set up a rematch against the Croatian cracks, who they defeated 5-2 on aggregate four year ago.

Former Liverpool star Biscan personally travelled to Pittodrie to watch the game ahead of next week's first leg in Rijeka.

But although he was impressed with Derek McInnes' side, he stressed he was only interested in their league clash with Slaven Belupo for now.

Biscan said: "What did I see in Aberdeen? A lot! It was obviously a very good win for the Scottish club.

"They were very fast, had quick wingers and were very aggressive. They were also good on the conter-attack. Aberdeen are a tough rival and it will be a very difficult game.

"But I won't be spending any time analysing them for now because I want to concentrate only on Slaven.

"We can't afford to get sidetracked by thinking about Europe. We need to concentrate on our league games just now and worry about playing Aberdeen later."
