The AAF is reportedly making players pay for their flights home

The Alliance of American Football suspended all football operations on Tuesday after owner Tom Dundon decided to call it quits, a move that enraged co-owner Bill Polian and left a lot of players wondering if their football dreams just ended for good.

We’ve seen Johnny Manziel offering his advice to players. We’ve seen a player tweet a sad note about how he had dropped everything on Monday to sign a contract with the AAF to keep his dream alive, only to be out of a job less than 24 hours later.

The downfall of the league happened quickly and it hasn’t been pretty.

But this, right here from Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko, might be one the most classless things that the league has done:

That is brutal and the powers that be should be ashamed of themselves. They wanted to be a minor league option for football, but instead it looks like they’re just a bush-league operation.
