With just 12 games of the 2019/20 Premier League season left to play, Chelsea find themselves in pole position to claim a Champions League spot for next season, with the Blues sitting in fourth place, one point ahead of Tottenham.
Their impressive league position is partly down to the performance of the club's talented youngsters, with the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori, Kurt Zouma and Reece James all showcasing their undoubted talent.
As a result, four of Chelsea's best performing youngsters have been given upgrades on Football Manager 2020, with Sports Interactive today revealing the Winter Update version of the game's extensive database.
There's also been some upgrades for some of their senior players too.
The update features over 650,000 changes to database records and 20,000 new players and non-players created.
Here are the biggest changes that affect Chelsea on FM2020.
Chelsea upgrades on Football Manager 2020 Winter Update
Mateo Kovacic - Current Ability increased from 160/200 to 164/200
Willian - Current Ability increased from 151/200 to 155/200
Kurt Zouma - Current Ability increased from 144/200 to 150/200
Tammy Abraham - Current Ability increased from 143/200 to 150/200
Mason Mount - Current Ability increased from 142/200 to 144/200
Fikayo Tomori - Current Ability increased from 139/200 to 150/200
Reece James - Current Ability increased from 136/200 to 141/200
But there have also been some downgrades too, with the likes of Pedro, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Emerson, Jorginho, Izzy Brown and Trevor Chalobah all downgraded in the Winter Update.
FM2020 Update
As well as data revisions, managers will also benefit from a number of gameplay improvements – some of the highlights include:
- Number of Stability and Crash fixes
- Improvements to game optimisation and increased performance both inside and outside of matches
- Over 650,000 changes to database records
- 20,000 new players and non-players created
- Number of UI improvements
- Various other improvements across the game
