The 7 Celtic and Rangers players out of contract and looking for new clubs

It is that time of year when clubs are on the lookout for new stars, players need to fix themselves up with a new employer and fans are desperate for some news.

The summer transfer merry-go-round usually takes a bit of time to fully ramp up and with the Scottish season still technically not over until Aberdeen take on Celtic in the Scottish Cup final this weekend, that will still be a little bit off.

However, that is not to say clubs can't do some early business. Rangers already have Lyall Cameron secured on a pre-contract and it's the same for Celtic with Kieran Tierney.

Players will move in both directions at both clubs, so here is a reminder of the ones who are at the end of their contracts and free to speak to other clubs.

Celtic

Greg Taylor - The Hoops left-back strongly hinted that he is offski with a recent social media post, sharing a picture from the league trophy celebrations with the caption: "Lived it. Loved it." Has interest from Dinamo Zagreb and there have even been suggestions of a shock move across the Glasgow divide.

Rangers

Tom Lawrence - The experienced midfielder looks set to move on after a season on the periphery. Likely to have interest back down in England.

Leon Balogun - Nigerian centre-back confirmed his exit from Ibrox today, admitting he was sad to have missed out on a proper send-off.

Ianis Hagi - One that Rangers fans would love to see stay after battling back into the first-team plans early in the campaign and proving his worth. Won't be short of other options.

Vaclav Cerny - Loan from Wolfsburg comes to and end and it's one that Rangers would find tricky to do due to a mix of asking price, wages and interest from elsewhere.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo - After battling back from injury to feature at the end of the season, the defender's loan from Feyenoord is up. But Rangers do have an option to buy and are expected to trigger it.

Rafael Fernandes - A January loan signing from Lille, the addition of Fernandes has not worked out and he will head back.
