The 7 areas of Nottinghamshire with a Covid infection rate above 1,000

Seven areas of Nottinghamshire now have a coronavirus infection rate above 1,000 cases per 100,000 people.

In the most recent government data, which covers the seven days to July 17 (the latest available figures), these areas are now in the highest bracket on the Covid-19 dashboard.

Currently an area of Bassetlaw, far north in Nottinghamshire, which covers the towns of Harworth, Bircotes and Blyth, has the highest rate in the county.

The rate here is 1,205.4 cases per 100,000 people.

England's overall rate, to compare, currently sits at 529.1 cases per 100,000 people, meaning it is well above the average for the country.

The areas below, from left, shows the case rate, how many cases and the increase in cases.

Areas above 1,000 cases per 100,000 people:

Cotgrave: 1,134/92/+33

Hucknall Westville: 1,053.8/86/+38

Hucknall Town: 1,013.3/95/+42

Worksop Town and South: 1,059.7/76/+48

Worksop North: 1,054.3/98/+39

Harworth, Bircotes and Blyth: 1,205.4/130/+103

Retford South: 1,085.2/93/+49

Some areas are bordering the 1,000 cases mark.

These are typically areas surrounding the city of Nottingham, where rates are in some cases starting to decline - including across The Park and Castle, Radford and St Ann's West.

Most areas, however, are still reporting rates which are on the up.

This has consequently led to more and more people getting contacted by the NHS Covid-19 app, and Test and Trace, informing them they need to isolate.

This is having a hugely adverse impact on businesses across Nottinghamshire.

Areas above 900 cases per 100,000 people:

Bilborough South: 938.4/57/+37

Bilborough North: 918/63/+6

Rise Park: 940.1/54/+31

Edwalton: 948.2/75/+8

Rainworth and Blidworth: 949.8/107/+58

Eastwood Town: 939.3/59/+42
