The 6 Nottingham areas where less than half of residents are fully vaccinated

The latest government data shows the six neighbourhoods in Nottinghamshire where less than half of residents are fully vaccinated.

While an average of 80.1 per cent of people over the age of 16 in Nottinghamshire are fully vaccinated, in the city of Nottingham 58.7 per cent of all residents have received two doses.

The fully vaccinated rate in England as whole as of 25 September is 82 per cent, which is higher than both Nottinghamshire and Nottingham's rates.

All of the areas in Nottinghamshire where under half of residents are not fully vaccinated are within Nottingham city.

The area with the least second doses of the vaccine is Radford, where 36.8 per cent of people are fully vaccinated. In Radford 44.4 per cent of residents have had their first jab.

Here is a rundown of all the areas where under half of the population are fully vaccinated:

  • Radford - 36.8 per cent have had their second dose, 44.4 per cent have had the first
  • Hyson Green - 40.7 per cent have had their second dose, 49.1 per cent have had the first

  • Forest Fields - 49.8 per cent have had their second dose, 58.5 per cent have had the first

  • Arboretum, Forest & Trent University - 48.3 per cent have had their second dose, 59.1 per cent have had the first

  • St Ann's West - 46.6 per cent have had their second dose, 55.9 per cent have had the first

  • City Centre & Trent Bridge - 42.8 per cent have had their second dose, 50.9 per cent have had the first

The Covid booster vaccine campaign, which offers people a third jab, was rolled out across Nottingham on the week commencing Monday, September 20.

An extended version of the vaccine will be offered to over 50s, front line and health care workers and those with conditions that make them more clinically vulnerable.

People wanting the jab will have to have had their second dose of the vaccine at least six months before this latest one.

Similarly to previous vaccine roll-outs, the booster jab will prioritise the most vulnerable groups of people first. These groups should soon receive an invitation from the National Booking Service or via a GP.

As of September 25, the total first doses administered in the UK stands at 48,722,414, while 44,739,473 people are fully vaccinated.
