The 6 biggest reactions to Rangers' win over Celtic

Rangers ran rampant and secured back-to-back Ibrox wins over Celtic.

James Tavernier and Scott Arfield scored the goals in a derby that edged towards the demolition bracket in performance if not scoreline.

Glasgow and Scotland beyond reacted to a thrilling performance from Rangers - and a dire display from the champions.

So who said and did what following the 2-0 win?

Let's round-up the reaction.

1) Kamara's ready

Glen Kamara was absolutely sensational against Celtic. Afterwards, Gerrard was lost for words about the former Dundee midfielder. Rangers managed to sign him for £50k, a transfer that also left Michael Gannon gobsmacked on our podcast today. The midfielder was immense, setting up Arfield's second goal. Bargain of the season? One hundred per cent!

2) Outstanding discipline

The thing that delighted Steven Gerrard the most was what he called Rangers' "outstanding" discipline. This was met with incredulity among Celtic supporters following Jon Flanagan dishing out a forearm smash on Scott Brown. But whatever anyone's view on the game, Rangers kept 11 men on the park and ran out deserved winners.

3) Lenny lets rip

Neil Lennon tore into Kevin Clancy over the above incident. The Celtic boss was gobsmacked Flanagan stayed on the park - and even accused the Rangers bench of doing everything they could to keep Flanagan on. He claimed they roared "it's him again" about Brown.

4) Football's the winner

Football gets a bad name but the joy it can bring to people should never be forgotten. Doubt us? Just check the young fan who was handed Ryan Jack's shirt at full-time to see why. The wee boy was a picture after being handed the midfielder's top. Brilliant stuff.

5) Kent staying?

(SNS Group)

He wants it, Gerrard wants it but is Ryan Kent signing a permanent deal with Rangers really a goer. One look at the on-loan winger's reaction at full-time suggests it could happne. Also, Keith Jackson, Euan McLean and Michael Gannon reckon it will go through - especially if Alfredo Morelos is sold this summer.

6) Lennon staying? Don't ask

(SNS Group)

His team had just been hammered by their great rivals. Ripe for a question about whether he'll keep the job? Right? Wrong! Despite Lennon being interim manager, the Sky Sports journalists felt there was no need to quiz him on whether the defeat had impacted on his chances of landing the job full-time. Incredible, really.
