The £6.99 Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter 'dupe' that beauty fans say is 'uncanny'

Glowing skin is the latest beauty trend, with tutorials all over social media providing tips and tricks on how to get the 'glass skin' look. One video that went viral on TikTok earlier this year showed just three steps for how celebrities "look so good" on the red carpet - with the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter being key to getting the look.

TikTok user Savannah Rae Collins posted a clip with the caption: 'This is how celebrities look so good on the red carpet.' She said: "A friend of mine does makeup for celebrities. I know we all have the same question - I was like 'Girl, how do they look so good on the red carpet?'"

Savannah goes on to say that getting the look requires three steps - "a lot of" hydrating primer, followed by mixing the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter and a skin tint on your skin and blending it with a "really damp" Beautyblender. In the clip, Savannah says: "She [her friend] said most celebrity makeup artists swear by the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter. I personally really love this."

Showing the finished look, she says: "My texture is gone. And do you see this glow?" The product has become incredibly popular on the app, with many users trying the look out for themselves. But, at £36, those looking to achieve the look for less say that they've found a dupe that could save you £29.

TikTok user Erin Williams posted a clip showing a £6.99 "dupe" for the popular product - Collection Filter Finish. "It's £6.99, I can't get over that," she says in the video. "Once blended out, honestly, I cannot tell the difference." She followed her original clip with a further video explaining more about the "dupe" she'd raved about.

Erin said the applicator was "basically the exact same" as that of the Charlotte Tilbury product. "It's quite uncanny," she says in a voiceover as she applies the product to her hand. TikTok users took to the comments to share their thoughts about the dupe.

"I bought this earlier after seeing this. I wear channel [sic] foundation normally, this is just as good," one user wrote. Another user wrote: "That's not a great dupe, that's an amazing dupe. Off to Boots I go." Another viewer of the clip wrote: "I picked this up in Superdrug today. Can't wait to try it."

Erin also made a TikTok comparing the two products on either side of her face, saying, "I think they're the exact same" after applying both of them. "That's a £30 difference, so I completely think it's worth it," she said. "I would say the CT one tans you a little more but the Collection one has the exact same glow," one user commented under the video. "Definitely buying."
