The 57-second Kieran Tierney video clip which will excite Arsenal fans ahead of Man United trip

Kieran Tierney had arguably one of the most promising Arsenal debuts in recent memory.

Having signed from Celtic for £25m during the summer transfer window, Gunners fans had to wait to see the Scotland international in action after he had undergone a double hernia operation in May.

But he was certainly worth the wait.

Named in the starting lineup for Tuesday night's 5-0 Carabao Cup third round win over Nottingham Forest, Tierney got 77 minutes under his belt before making way for Hector Bellerin.

The reaction to Tierney's competitive bow for Arsenal has been all positive.

Following the game he took to social media and reacted to his debut by sending a message to the supporters.

"Thank you so much for all your support... very grateful," he tweeted. "Great feeling making my debut!"

And now thanks to the official YouTube account, Tierney's highlights from the game have been compressed into a 57-second video clip and it gives Arsenal fans a glimpse of what's to come once he's fully fit.

The clip highlights the left-back's crossing ability as he could easily have had a couple of assists for Emile Smith Rowe as well as Mesut Ozil and there's also bits of him showing good defensive awareness and carrying the ball out from the back.

Such was Tierney's impressive bow that fans are calling for him to start against Manchester United on Monday night.

It remains to be seen if head coach Unai Emery hands the 22-year-old a Premier League debut or sticks with Sead Kolasinac at left-back for the trip to Old Trafford.

Three days after facing the Red Devils, Arsenal are back in Europa League action as they welcome Standard Liege to the Emirates Stadium before an encounter with Bournemouth before the second international break of the season.
