Apache

Apache is a 'cheeky' Siberian Husky (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Apache is a six-year-old male Siberian Husky who loves muddy puddles and tennis balls.

He's looking for an active home that can take him on adventures.

He would need his own good-sized private garden with 6ft solid fencing where he can relax and play.

Breed experience is preferable, but if not then research on the breed must be done.

He is looking to live with a maximum of 2 people in the home and both of these will need to be adults so he can really build a bond.

Apache has had mixed reactions around dogs, he can lead walk with female dogs nicely but then has been uncomfortable with others - because of this he would like to be walked in quiet areas where dogs won't run up to him off lead and take him by surprise.

Bear

Bear the Shar Pei cross (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Bear is a female, seven-year-old Shar Pei cross, who is very active and loves being on the go.

She will happily travel in the car to explore new places. Bear is very clever girl and knows a few tricks.

She also likes spending time with people she has got to know.

Bear can be a bit worried by busy environments, so needs a quiet home with access to quiet walks.

She can be wary of other dogs, especially up-close, so will need adopters who would be confident to work on her socialisation.

She will need to be the only dog in the home and to be kept on a lead at all times around dogs.

Bear will need her own private secure garden with minimum six foot fencing.

Any children in the home need to be aged 14 or over and respect that she may need space now and again.

She must have adults only to walk her, minimal visitors and cannot live with any other pets.

Bear

Bear the 11-month-old Shar Pei (Dogs Trust Manchester)

This Bear is a male 11-month-old Shar Pei who loves to run around and burn off his energy.

He loves his food and treats, which is great for training - and he's very intelligent.

Bear is a friendly boy who enjoys meeting other dogs. But sometimes he can get too excited when socialising, so he would need to be the only dog in his new home.

He will need his own private secure garden and any children in the home to be aged 16 years old or older.

Car journeys will need to be non essential initially and he will need any leaving hours to be built up gradually.

Birdie

Birdie the Domestic Shorthair crossbreed (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Birdie is a Domestic Shorthair crossbreed cat, estimated to be around three to five-years-old, who was rescued by the RSPCA after a suspected fox attack.

She is very sociable and full of energy, whilst also happy to cuddle up and relax - and she adores company.

Birdie is neutered, microchipped and received part one of her primary course of vaccines.

Unfortunately due to a national shortage of vaccines the course could not be completed, so once they are freely available again in the new year her adopter will need to restart the course.

She would prefer a home where she can go out to play, that is away from busy roads - as well as being the only cat in the home. She could live with children of secondary school age.

Bram

Bram the 'super clever' crossbreed (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Bram is a male two-year-old Malinois crossbreed who is 'super clever' and loves to learn new things.

He is full of energy and loves adventures, so would need adopters who could provide him with two to three hours plus of exercise a day.

Bram is described as having a 'sweet side' and adores human attention on his terms, and at a pace he's comfortable with.

Sadly he had quite an unsettled start to life and as a result will need a patient, adult-only home with no visiting children.

Bram will require his own private, large secure garden with constant outside access along with some type of outdoor shelter or kennel so he can stay outside for as long as he pleases.

Bram doesn't like to be left alone and so his new home will need to have very minimal leaving hours.

Buster and Reuben

Buster and Reuben (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Buster (right), 10, and Reuben (left), 11, are a male Staffordshire Bull Terrier duo with some real personality.

They are inseparable best friends and will be the perfect dogs for a new family looking for a sweet older pair to settle their paws on the sofa.

Reuben and Buster do struggle to be left alone so will need owners that have minimal leaving hours.

As they enjoy a gentle fuss, they can live with children aged 11 years and over.

They have had varying reactions to other dogs, so will need to be the only dogs in the home. They will also need their own private, secure garden.

Buster

Buster the Shih Tzu (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Buster is a nine-year-old Shih Tzu who is very friendly and loves people and dogs alike.

He enjoys his walks and despite almost reaching double digits, he's still an active boy.

Once home Buster is a cuddly boy and likes nothing more than spending time with his favourite humans, whether that's cuddling up on the sofa with them or playing with his toys.

Buster needs a new family who are around most of the time and can build up his leaving hours gradually.

They also need to help him work on his housetraining needs.

He needs his own private, secure garden and despite being friendly, Buster needs to be the only dog in the home.

He could live with confident children aged 11 or older.

Campbell

Campbell the Domestic Shorthair crossbreed (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Campbell is a three-and-a-half year old male Domestic Shorthair crossbreed.

He was rescued by the RSPCA from a home where numerous cats were being kept confined in a small outdoor pen.

He was initially overwhelmed by the change in circumstances, but a move from the cattery to a foster home saw Campbell transform.

His foster dad describes him as 'fearless' and 'constantly on the move.'

Campbell loves exploring, but is also happy to come over for a head rub or a tickle behind his ears.

He isn't a fan of being picked up but he's a great communicator and loves his food.

He would prefer to be the only pet in the home and could live with children of secondary school age.

Camille

Camille the shorthair crossbreed (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Camille is a one-year-old Domestic Shorthair crossbreed, who is affectionate and loves to sit on your lap once she has got to know you.

She came from a home overrun with cats and her socialisation has been limited.

Her reaction to most things is to hiss, which suggests she has had a very sheltered experience of home life, but once she is at ease she transforms into a 'loving lady' who likes to have close contact and fusses.

Camille is looking for an experienced, adult-only cat loving home. She could potentially live with another cat.

Charlie

Charlie the Shar Pei (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Charlie is an 11 month old Shar Pei looking for a patient home that he can settle into and grow in confidence.

He can be shy to begin with but he is very friendly and loves going on walks - especially saying hello to other dogs while out and about.

Charlie would like a non open plan home with a secure, private garden and minimal visitors and no young visiting children.

Car journeys need to be non essential to begin with until his confidence is built. He will need to be the only pet in the home.

Cooper

Cooper is a playful dog and loves fuss (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Cooper is a male seven-year-old male German Shepherd who enjoys adventures where he can explore new areas.

He loves to play with toys and have fuss from his human friends.

He is reactive to other animals, especially dogs, so his new home must be in a low dog populated area.

It would be beneficial that his new adopters have knowledge or are happy to research the breed before adopting.

Cooper's home will need to be set back from the road as he is likely to bark at people and dogs passing by. It will also need a good-sized secure garden with six foot fencing.

Dobby

Dobby (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Dobby is a three-year-old Lurcher cross who loves saying hello to his favourite people, nuzzling or leaning into them for a gentle fuss.

He enjoys being kept busy. He is very clever and loves to learn new tricks.

Dobby is great company on walks when in quiet areas, he loves being out and about and would be best suited to an active home that wants to explore new places with him.

He is looking for a home with a private secure garden with no neighbouring dogs.

Dobby can live with children aged 16 years and over who are comfortable around large dogs, however he must be the only pet in the home.

Edward

Edward the Domestic Shorthair crossbreed (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Edward is a six-month-old kitten who loves playing with toys and having fuss from his human friends in equal measures.

He came into the care of the RSPCSA two months ago with a fractured right hind leg and fleas, after he was thought to have been lost or abandoned and ended up in a traffic accident.

He had to have his leg in a cast and endure cage rest for more than six weeks, but is now back to full health.

Edward is looking for his forever home, where he will be the only pet. He will benefit from a large garden away from busy roads and can live with children aged 10 and over.

While Edward is neutered and microchipped, he is yet to be vaccinated due to a national shortage.

His adopter will need to sort this out when more vaccines become available in the new year, before he goes out to play.

Echo

Echo the five-month-old Domestic rabbit (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Echo is a petite, female rabbit, approximately five months old.

She came into the RSPCA having been found as a young stray. She is looking to be rehomed in an outdoor set-up and to be bonded with a neutered male.

She has gained confidence since being taken in and enjoys snuggling into towels in her pen. She's very independent and likes her own space.

Echo is vaccinated and soon to be neutered and chipped.

She is looking for extra special home with loving, gentle and patient adopters. She would prefer an adult only household.

Eldon

Eldon the crossbreed rabbit (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Eldon is a two-year-old bunny who was found abandoned by the side of a canal before being brought to safety at the RSPCA.

He has blossomed into a gentle-natured boy who loves being outdoors and running around.

He loves having company in his pen and will even come over to you for a gentle fuss.

Eldon is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

He could be a 'free range' house rabbit, or would need to live outside in a shed or an outhouse - a hutch is not enough for him.

Ideally his new home with have an enclosed garden.

He could live with a neutered female rabbit and with children of at least secondary school age.

Ella

Ella the Rottweiler (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Ella is a five-year-old Rottweiler looking for a calm and patient home to take her in and let her come out of her shell.

Ella can be worried by overhandling, but does enjoy a gentle fuss once she knows you. She is a very foody girl and enjoys doing some tricks for a treat.

She enjoys going out on walks, but will need her walks managing as she does have some hip and leg issues.

Ella will need a home with a private, secure garden and she should be walked in low dog areas, as she can be reactive.

She will need minimal visitors and her new owners should have Rottweiler experience.

Her new home should be adult-only with no young visiting children and she will need to be the only pet in the home.

Ellie

Ellie the Lop (RSPCA Manchester and Salford)

Ellie is a Lop rabbit, estimated to be between two to three years old, looking for a new home as a house rabbit.

She is shy but very loving and enjoys watching the world go by from the top of the castle in her pen.

Ellie is wary of other rabbits, and while she could be bonded with a placid, male rabbit, her adopters must be experienced in undertaking slow bonding with rescue rabbits and be extra vigilant.

She is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and would be able to live with children of secondary school age.

Freya

Freya the Siberian Husky crossbreed (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Freya is a six-year-old Husky cross Malamute who is very lively and enjoys going on adventures.

She loves travelling in the car and exploring further afield, as well as playing with her toy.

Freya is looking for a home with adults only and no visiting children as she can be worried of them.

She will need her own good-sized private secure garden away from main roads.

She will need to be the only pet in the house as she enjoys doing her own thing.

Breed experience is needed for Freya.

He is a smart boy who loves his food and can keep himself busy. Humphrey also enjoys saying hello to other friendly dogs.

For Humphrey's life to be as stress free as possible it's important that his home has minimal visitors - any visitors would need to be introduced outside of the home.

He would need adopters to be around most of the time initially and build up his leaving time slowly.

Due to his size and breed, adopters should have experience of living with a large breed and have a private, secure medium to large garden.

Humphrey would need to be kept on lead and muzzled when walking in public places and would require an adult-only home.

She was a very attentive mum, but her character has really come out to shine now she's been able to give up her parental duties.

Imogen has a real sense of adventure and is very smart.

She loves to explore, so she will make the most of the outside space she is offered once she's settled into her new home.

But she isn't always on the go; she loves to snuggle up on your lap and doesn't mind being handled.

The bunnies can take their time in getting to know you, but once they do they'll become relaxed and more affectionate.

Victoria and Veloria are quiet bunnies and would be best suited to a quiet home with a room to themselves indoors or a secure outdoor shed or run set-up outdoors.

They could live with children of secondary school age and are both neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Ziggy

Ziggy the Shih Tzu cross (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Ziggy is an 11 year old Shih Tzu cross Yorkshire Terrier who loves to play - especially with his favourite pig toy.

Don't let his age fool you; he still looks to go out exploring and loves running around the garden.

Ziggy can be worried by handling so he would love a new home with adopters who understand how to take things slow and to give him space.

He will need to be the only dog in the home but is happy meeting others on his walks.

He will need a cat free home and can be left for a few hours once settled. He can live with children age 14 years or older.

Zoe

Zoe the Shepherd crossbreed (Dogs Trust Manchester)

Zoe is 12-year-old Shepherd cross, who loves to run after tennis balls - and will even bring them back.

She can be a nervous girl and doesn't particularly enjoy kennels, but she does enjoy pottering around and responds well to treats.

Zoe has met a few dogs and is happy to have a friendly sniff with most but then is happy to just go off and do her own thing.

She could continue to meet other dogs out and about but is best being the only dog in the home.

Dogs Trust Manchester only have limited history on her background, so do not know how she will be when left home alone.

Due to her nervous nature, she will need a quiet home which isn't on a busy road, with minimal visitors.

Zoe can live with children aged 16 and older and will need her own, private secure garden.

List up to date as of Friday 17 December.
