Chelsea have shown that they are ready to spend some big money this summer with the links to Timo Werner and Kai Havertz.
The Blues have already signed Hakim Ziyech, while they have agreed to bring in Werner from RB Leipzig and are considering some more incomings.
However, to balance the books the Blues and director Marina Granovskaia might have to sell some players to make space for their new signings.
But which players should be moved on this summer when the transfer window is opened?
Matt Miazga
The American has struggled to really get a place in the Chelsea first team and has been out on several loans during his time at the Blues.
Miazga has been at Vitesse, Nantes and Reading, where he is currently on loan, and it’s unlikely that he will get a chance with the club.
With a contract running out in 2022, it would be time to let him go and put some money in the coffers for future signings.
Davide Zappacosta
The Italian was something of a panic buy when Antonio Conte was in charge, with the manager wanting a right-back but not getting his first choice of Kyle Walker.
Zappacosta has struggled on injury while he has been out on loan with Roma, but is recovering while football is on hiatus.
However, the 27-year-old is not a player who is on Lampard’s radar for the future and with Reece James’s emergence, he is going to be one looking to get out.
Tiemoue Bakayoko
Tiemoue Bakayoko’s time at Chelsea is likely to be short but not very sweet with the Frenchman having just one real season with the Blues.
The 25-year-old spent time with AC Milan and now back at his former club at Monaco, with the season now having been cancelled.
However, Lampard is not fond of the Frenchman to fit into his time and it’s obvious that he should be another one out of the door this summer.
Danny Drinkwater
Just like Bakayoko, the central midfielder has had a poor time with the Blues and he is going to be heading out the door.
The 30-year-old has been on loan at Burnley and Aston Villa this season, but the Premier League-winner has not settled again.
If someone is ready to take on his wages, then the Blues will be desperate to get him off their books and make space for another player.
Kenedy
Another player who was signed with high hopes but things have not turned out the way either side would have wanted.
The Brazilian has been on loan at Watford, Newcastle United (twice) and is now at Getafe, and he is still only 24.
Kenedy could be player who slots into a wing-back role for the Blues, but he doesn’t really have much of a future there and the Blues should offload him.
