Rangers’ earnings from the Champions League could rise to as much as £46million if Steven Gerrard’s side reach the group stage.
The Ibrox side have impressed in the Europa League and now have the chance to take the step up next term having been crowned Premiership champions.
Celtic have proven in recent years how tough it can be to navigate the qualifiers and it will be far from a formality for the title winners.
However, the financial incentive offered by the Champions League becomes greater and greater every year and Gerrard could rake in a massive windfall if he steers the club to the group stage.
But how does this break down for Rangers?
From the Champions League group stage, Rangers will reportedly earn around £40m for the run through the play-off games and six group fixtures.
They will also received added revenue from three extra home games against the European elite.
If fans are allowed back in side Ibrox, this could net the club around £2m per game including ticket sales and hospitality.
That is before results are even taken into consideration. In previous years £2.4m has been dished out for every win, and even £800,000 for a draw.
The champions would also be entitled to a share of UEFA's £525m co-efficient pool and a slice of the TV money that is thrown at the competition.
Should they make it out of the group they could be set to net another £8.5m, but final figures are to be confirmed for progression.
