The 4 Burnley players set to miss Tottenham clash as Sean Dyche provides injury updates

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has confirmed that striker Ashley Barnes is back in full training ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur.

However, the Burnley striker will not be involved against Spurs , with Barnes continuing his recovery from a hernia operation.

Barnes, who has not featured for the Clarets since New Year's Day, has played 19 times for Burnley this season, scoring six goals.

The Clarets have a couple of other injury problems for the game against Jose Mourinho's Tottenham side, with Dyche confirming the latest injury news ahead of the clash at Turf Moor.

Jose Mourinho praises 'phenomenal' Oliver Skipp

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Dyche said: "Barnesy [Ashley Barnes] is back on the grass with us. He is not ready for this weekend.

"Lowts [Matthew Lowton] is with the medical team.

"Johann "Berg Gudmundsson] is still not quite there, a frustrating one for him and us."

Lowton has a knee injury and has been sidelined since Burnley's 0-0 draw with Arsenal at the beginning of February, while Berg Gudmundsson has a hamstring injury and has not featured since January.

The only other player Burnley are set to be without is defender Ben Gibson, who has not featured for the Clarets since August and was recently allowed to train with his former club Middlesbrough.
