The £36m summer transfer boost Arsenal and Raul Sanllehi could receive from Valencia

In a couple of months, the summer transfer window will be open and Arsenal are already being linked with midfield reinforcements.

Atletico Madrid's Thomas Partey is the most high-profile name on a list which also includes the likes of Feyenoord wonderkid Orkun Kokcu and Le Havre youngster Pape Gueye.

Another name reportedly on Mikel Arteta's wishlist is Valencia's Carlos Soler.

The Spaniard is being tipped to join Arteta's revolution at the Emirates Stadium, although the Mirror claimed last month that he has a £140m buy-out clause in his contract - which he signed last December - at the Mestalla.

That could prove to be too expensive for the north London outfit.

Funds are expected to be tight this summer for the Gunners and much is reportedly set to depend on whether Los Che will be tempted to cash in on the 23-year-old for a much lower fee.

And there's a scenario in which this could happen.

As reported by Marca earlier in the season, Valencia are having financial problems and need to raise more than £36m in player sales before June 30 in order to balance the books.

This could be a massive boost for Arsenal and Head of Football, Raul Sanllehi, as they could look to take advantage of the La Liga club's situation and perhaps lure Soler to the Emirates for less than his £140m buy-out clause.

Another player being linked with a summer move to Arsenal is Sao Paulo central defender Walce..

Prior to bringing in Pablo Mari on loan from Flamengo, the Gunners held talks with the Brazilian side for the 21-year-old and it's possible Walce could be come a target at the end of the season.

"Walce had a proposal from Red Bull Bragantino, which we denied," said Passaro, the club's executive manager to the Brazilian media.

"Here I think I can even say that we had a conversation with Arsenal, exactly for the spot that went to Pablo Mari, we were talking to Edu Gaspar.

"He (Walce) ended up getting hurt, which happens, we need to be prepared for that."
