The 31 areas of Nottinghamshire with a higher coronavirus infection rate than the England average

A total of 31 areas of Nottinghamshire still have a higher coronavirus infection rate than the England average.

According to data from the Government's coronavirus dashboard the current infection rate average for England is roughly 22.6 cases per 100,000 people.

The roadmap is continuing as planned, with further restrictions being eased from May 17.

This means social mixing will be allowed indoors and indoor venues such as pubs and cinemas look set to reopen for the first time in months.

Some areas of Nottinghamshire however, while many are now classed as having "suppressed" the virus, still have a higher than average infection rate.

Among the areas with a relatively high rate is Forest Fields, which stands at 86.1 cases per 100,000 people, and Retford East, which is above 91 cases per 100,000 people.

Below are the 31 areas of the county where the rates are higher than average. From left to right is the infection rate, number of cases, and the increase or decrease, as of the week up to April 30 (the latest available data).
