The 31 areas of Nottinghamshire where Covid infection rates are now above England average

More than 30 areas of Nottinghamshire now have a coronavirus infection rate higher than that of the England average, according to the latest data.

New data was published by the Government on Sunday, June 6, and details all cases recorded in the week up to June 1, which is the latest available data.

A total of 31 areas have a higher than average rate of infection including Bobbers Mill and Hyson Green which have more than 100 cases per 100,000 people each.

Bobbers Mill has the highest infection rate in Nottinghamshire, with 14 cases recorded in the week to June 1, an increase by four over the previous week.

It comes as the interim public health director for Nottingham, David Johns, said there were many "unknowns" as to how the Delta Covid variant (which originated in India) would impact infection rates.

This is now the dominant strain in the UK.

The 31 areas are detailed below:

England average is 37.4 cases per 100,000 people.

From left to right is the infection rate/number of weekly-recorded cases/the increase on previous week/percentage increase in brackets.

It is worth noting that, because case numbers are low, any percentage increase will look more substantial.
