The €30m Real Betis deal that hands Tottenham a huge Giovani Lo Celso transfer boost

Tottenham remain interested in Real Betis midfielder Giovani Lo Celso this summer.

The Argentinian was seen as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen, whose future remains up in the air.

Eriksen was tipped for a move to Real Madrid, but boss Zinedine Zidane appears more keen to bring Manchester United's Paul Pogba to the Bernabeu.

There are still some in the Spanish capital who are keen on Eriksen, however, and his future could have a bearing on how heavily Spurs covet Lo Celso.

Lo Celso notched 16 goals for Real Betis in La Liga last season, and scored for Argentina during the Copa America this summer.

Betis have slapped a €70million price tag on the 23-year-old's head, although Tottenham will be hoping to get their man for significantly less than that prior to transfer deadline day.

Reports have suggested that Spurs and Lo Celso have already agreed personal terms on his move to N17, and a move could be a step closer after Betis were linked with a replacement for the Argentine.

Nabil Fekir's Lyon future has been up in the air for much of the last year, with a move to Liverpool failing at the 11th hour last summer.

Lyon are prepared to let their captain leave this time around, and Betis have emerged as a leading candidate for his signature, with a bid in the region of €30million on the table.

The interest from Betis in Fekir is interesting because, according to Le Parisien , the bid is on the table under the assumption that the Spanish side will receive a cash influx from Spurs.

Like with Lo Celso to Spurs, Le Parisien also report that personal terms between Fekir and Betis have already been agreed, so all that remains, it seems, is for two transfer fees to be ironed out.
