The Raiders last won a Super Bowl decades ago. In fact, it was 1984 and they were based in Los Angeles. They have gone through a plethora of quarterbacks trying to settle on one. Jim Plunkett was the starter when the Raiders last saw glory. The QB carousel has seen many players try and no one succeed to deliver big time.

Marc Wilson

Marc Wilson traded the starting assignment with Jim Plunkett over his years as a Raider. Overall, the former BYU star made 50 starts for the Silver and Black and had a solid 31-19 mark.
Jim Plunkett

Jim Plunkett went from New England to San Francisco to the Raiders before finding a home. Like Marc Wilson, the former Stanford great had a solid starting mark, going 38-19.
Rusty Hilger

Rusty Hilger was a sixth-round pick of the Raiders out of Oklahoma State. He made five starts in 1987, going 2-3. Hilger threw four TD passes and seven picks in his Raiders career.
Vince Evans

Vince Evans spent eight of his 15 years in the NFL as a Raider. The former USC quarterback only made seven starts for the Raiders, going 2-5. Overall, he threw 21 TD passes and 21 picks for them.
Jay Schroeder

Jay Schroeder threw for more than half of his 20,000-plus career yards as a Raider. He was 32-25 in five years with the team.
Steve Beuerlein

In a journeyman career. Steve Beuerlein spent two seasons with the Raiders. He went 8-7 in 15 starts with 21 TD passes and 16 picks. Overall, the former Notre Damer played for six NFL teams.
Todd Marinovich

One of the sadder stories in NFL history “In Todd We Trust” was the motto at USC and the Raiders hoped he would be a big-time quarterback for them. However, Todd Marinovich’s career was derailed by abuse problems.
Jeff Hostetler

Jeff Hostetler won a Super Bowl as quarterback for the New York Giants. He threw for more than 11,000 yards in his four-year Raider career. Hostetler was 33-22 and threw 69 TD passes in the Silver and Black.
Billy Joe Hobert

Billy Joe Hobert was a third-round pick of the Raiders in 1993. He made five starts in his career for Oakland and lost them all.
Jeff George

Jeff George was a Raider for two unsuccessful seasons. He went 7-16 in 23 starts despite throwing 33 TD passes against 14 picks.
Donald Hollas

Donald Hollas had not played in the NFL since 1994 when he turned up in Oakland in 1997. He made six starts in his final NFL season and was 4-2 for Oakland. However, he threw 16 picks and 10 TDs.
Wade Wilson

The late Wade Wilson finished his long NFL career as a Raider in 1998, going 1-2 in three starts.
Rich Gannon

Delaware Blue Hen Rich Gannon led the Raiders to a Super Bowl loss against Tampa Bay. He had a strong tenure as starter, going 45-29 with 114 TD passes in six seasons.
Rick Mirer

Rick Mirer was a Golden Boy from the Golden Dome of Notre Dame. After not seeing NFL action from 2001-02, he returned as a Raider in ’03 and went 2-6 as a starter.
Marques Tuiasosopo

Marques Tuiasosopo spent six seasons with the Raiders, primarily in a backup role to Rich Gannon and Kerry Collins. He went 0-2 as a starter.
Aaron Brooks

Aaron Brooks concluded his NFL career in dismal style with the Silver and Black in 2006. He was winless in eight starts, throwing eight picks and only three TDs.
Josh McCown

Perhaps the ultimate in journeymen, Josh McCown spent the 2007 season with the Raiders and went 2-7 in nine starts. McCown has played for seven teams.
Daunte Culpepper

Another one-and-done Raiders quarterback was Daunte Culpepper, who went 2-4 as a starter in 2007 with five picks and five TD tosses.
JaMarcus Russell

One of the biggest busts of all-time, JaMarcus Russell came to the Raiders from LSU. He was the No. 1 overall pick and was a total flop. Russell was often out of shape and in three seasons he went 7-18 as a starter.
Andrew Walter

Andrew Walter came to the Raiders from Arizona State. He spent three years with Oakland and went 2-7 as a starter.
Charlie Frye

Charlie Frye spent the final year of his career with the Raiders. The former Akron gridder was a third-round pick of the Browns in 2005. He came to the Raiders as a free agent and went 1-2 in three starts.
Bruce Gradkowski

Bruce Gradkowski is another journeyman who spent time with the Raiders. He didn’t have much success, losing five out of eight starts.
Carson Palmer

Carson Palmer was a Heisman winner out of USC in 2002. He was drafted by the Bengals and eventually had issues with Cincinnati, leading to a holdout. The Raiders traded for Palmer when Jason Campbell suffered an injury in the middle of the 2011 season. Palmer spent two seasons in Oakland and went 8-16 as a starter.
Jason Campbell

Jason Campbell was with the Raiders in 2010 and ’11. He actually had a better than .500 mark, going 11-7. He had a yo-yo career with the Silver and Black and was never able to get a good rhythm going as a starter.
Kyle Boller

Kyle Boller was a bust in Baltimore. And that meant the Raiders had to think they could fix him. He made one start while with Oakland from 2010-11 and, of course, lost it.
Terrelle Pryor

Terrelle Pryor came out of college with controversy surrounding his immense talent. He spent three years with Oakland after Ohio State and went 3-7 as a starter.
Matt Flynn

Matt Flynn played for three teams in 2013, one was the Raiders. He made one start and lost it.
Derek Carr

Derek Carr has been under a lot of pressure on the field and off the field as Raiders quarterback. The critics love to get on the former Fresno State star. Overall, Carr is 32-46 with 122 TDs and 54 picks.
Matt McGloin

Matt McGloin made six of his seven starts as a Raider rookie in 2013. He lost all but one and didn’t start again until 2016 when he lost his lone other start.
EJ Manuel

EJ Manuel didn’t work out as a first-round pick in Buffalo out of Florida State. Of course, the Raiders thought he could help them. He lost his lone start for Oakland in 2017.
