The first round is in the books and there were some rather big surprises that have left a ton of talent on the board for the Cleveland Browns to take advantage of. When evaluating what’s left, there are still more than a few guys that can be immediate contributors. The guys below are three high-quality first round talent targets that are still available.
Greg Little, Mississippi, OT
Little is rawer than preferred, which is why he is still available in the second round, but he has serious potential. Little is a two-year starter at an SEC school, so he has seen his fair share of talent. He also provides the ideal build that should allow him to at least provide depth across the entire offensive line while he continues to develop the ideal technique to start at tackle.
Dre’Mont Jones, Ohio State, DT
Jones is a local Cleveland guy who has played extremely well during his time as a Buckeye. Despite being knocked for his poor athletic testing numbers has provided plenty of evidence to suggest he can be a stud in the NFL.
Jones is a Day 1 talent and despite having to take on more double teams than usual, due to the Nick Bosa injury, was extremely effective. There are no doubts that Jones can be a pleasant addition to the interior rotation.
Andraez “Greedy” Williams, LSU, CB
Williams was the number one corner on many boards including my own heading into the Draft and the fact the day one talent is still here is a bit shocking. He has unique size for the position and an All-American resume. Williams likely fell out of favor due to his lack of ball skills and aggressive style, but he has more than enough speed to make up for any mistakes.
