It is no secret that Chelsea are in the transfer market looking for a new frontman.
But the Blues are not the only big team in the Premier League in that situation.
Manchester United and Tottenham have been hit by injuries to Marcus Rashford and Harry Kane respectively and they are both on the lookout for strikers too.
One player that has been linked with a move to all three is Edinson Cavani.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker has told his bosses that he is keen to leave the Ligue Un club this month, with just five months of his contract in the French capital left.
Atletico Madrid is the preferred destination for the striker, whom PSG would like to get a fee in the region of £23million for him.
However, Chelsea remain in the hunt and reports on Saturday suggested that Cavani had "rejected a £10million-a-year" offer from Manchester United.
Tottenham are unlikely to pay the Uruguayan striker's wages, leaving it seemingly as a straight race between Atletico and Chelsea for his signature this month.
And if Chelsea do secure his services, it could have a huge impact on the Blues' London rivals Arsenal.
If Cavani leaves the Parc des Princes it would leave a big hole in the French giants' forward line.
And in trying to find a solution, PSG have reportedly entered the race for Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Gabones striker's contract at the Emirates Stadium runs out in the summer of 2021 and there has been no breakthrough in talks over a new deal in north London.
Barcelona have consistently been linked with a move for Arsenal captain Aubameyang, but PSG have now entered the race, and should Cavani leave this month Foot Mercato have reported that the Gunners' man is their preferred replacement, with talks already taking place between the club and the player's representatives.
