The 20-year leap will contribute to the freshness in Kundali Bhagya: Paras Kalnawat

Paras Kalnawat, who was last seen in the TV show Anupamaa and later in the dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, will now play the new lead in Kundali Bhagya. The show has taken a 20-year leap and Paras will play Shraddha Arya's grown-up son.

Paras is looking forward to his new role. He said, "After Jhalak and Anupamaa, I did get offered a few roles, but I did not want to do them. I wanted to do something different. Though Kundali is a six-year old show, and it is always a challenge to enter an existing show, I am sure that this 20-year leap will contribute to the freshness in the show. Of course, there is a lot of pressure to perform not just on me, but the entire team. I am looking forward to playing this character. I am glad that I am working in Ekta Kapoor's show."

Paras added, "I am playing a joyful character, who loves making people happy. I love my mother a lot, and audiences will be able to relate to my character. My character loves to spread happiness around and help people when they are faced with a troublesome situation."

The actor shared how in the last few months, he was busy doing different things. He said, "I worked on myself, spent time with friends and family and acted in a few music videos." Paras played the role of Samar in Anupamaa but was later replaced by Sagar Parekh in the show because he wanted to move on and do different things.
