New figures have revealed that 20 North East postcodes may currently have no Covid-19 cases.
According to the Government's UK Covid Map, the virus is currently "suppressed" in these areas.
That means there were no more than two cases there last week - and potentially zero.
And the map shows infection rates across the North East are still falling, almost two months into the third national lockdown.
Cases are down in across all seven councils, from Northumberland to County Durham, with the latter enjoying a 25.9 per cent decrease week-on-week in the total number of infections.
And currently Sunderland is the only council without an area where the virus is suppressed. In comparison, there are eight in Northumberland and five in County Durham.
These are the 20 postcodes where the virus is currently suppressed.
