By now you’ve probably scanned the traditional NFL stats compiled by the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Maybe you’ve even perused Pro Football Focus’ grades, or tried to dig in on the NFL’s Next Gen Stats site.
We’re all trying to understand, first, how it is that these teams emerged from the fray of an NFL season. And, secondly, of course, we’re looking for information about how Super Bowl 55 will play out.
But of course there’s so much noise out there, and while it’s inarguably a better time to be an NFL fan thanks to all the ways we have to measure and monitor the game, it can be bewildering.
So we’ve tried to do the work of finding the stats that matter most. Here they are, organized by which team has possession of the ball.
