The 2 Johnnies announce 3Arena show to mark their 200th podcast episode

Comedy duo The 2 Johnnies, AKA Johnny "Smacks" McMahon and Johnny B O’Brien, have announced a 3Arena gig that will coincide with the 200th episode of their popular podcast.

The show will take place on December 16th, 2021.

The pair, who hail from County Tipperary, became known for the comedy sketches they posted on YouTube, poking fun at all things typically Irish.

Having launched their podcast back in 2018, it will soon reach its 200 episode milestone. Some of their guests over the years have included Roz Purcell, beloved Irish comedian Tommy Tiernan, Ireland rugby international Tadhg Furlong and sports promoter Eddie Hearn.

The duo have seen their fair share of success in other mediums, achieving nine number one singles and selling out tours around the UK, USA and Australia.

It all started for the pair back in 2016 when Smacks, who was working as a butcher in Supervalu, and O'Brien, who worked as a hurler maker, were asked to to MC a fundraiser at Cahir GAA.

The lads currently have an Instagram following of over 200,000 and have managed to racked up 116,000 YouTube subscribers.

Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster.ie when they go on sale this Friday, October 1st at 9am.
