If you're struggling with getting your fake tan just right, you'll be pleased to know that the answer to a streak-free finish could be sitting in your kitchen right now.
According to Manchester Evening News, people who fake tan have ditched their mitts, and been using a 14p product we all have in our kitchen drawers instead.

Taking to Facebook group Make-Up Tips and Tricks for Women Over 40, one user wrote: "So I saw a tip on a different Facebook group about applying fake tan with a latex glove instead of the usual tanning mitt. Just to let you lovely lot know that I’ve tried it and couldn’t be happier with the results!! Streak free, even tan. Will never use a mitt again!"
Thousands of other group members flooded the post with comments - with many in agreement and claiming they'd been using the same hack for years.
Jenny Anthony said: "This is the only way I’ve done it. I feel like it’s easier to tell where I’ve applied it and how much." Elaine Mordoh wrote: "I’ve been doing it this way for 20 years. Then a smooth makeup sponge for my hands & fingers. Perfect results each time!"
Toni Young commented: "That’s how I do it! Great, even coverage every time!" Corinna Lopardo said: "I’ve been applying mine with a latex glove for a few years, I love how even it goes on."
Tesco is currently selling 40 packs of disposable latex gloves for £5.50 each - working out at 14p per glove - but they're also available in shops like Home Bargains, ASDA and B&M, and you might be able to find them even cheaper.
