Chelsea will undoubtedly be in the market for a new left-back this summer.
The Blues have been linked with a number of new signings already, including Ben Chilwell from Leicester City and Alex Telles from Porto.
But there has been another, more unfamiliar name, that has been doing the rounds in connection with a move to Stamford Bridge - Marc Cucurella.
The 21-year-old came through the Barcelona youth ranks and has been tipped for the top.
He has spent this season out on loan at Getafe, who have taken up the option to make his move permanent by completing a £5.4million deal.
He is not a left-back in the standard sense. In his formative years at Barcelona, as well as during his time in La Liga with Eibar and Getafe, Cucurella has featured as a full-back, wing-back, wide midfielder and winger.
Even though Getafe had the option to make the move permanent, Barcelona wrote a clause into the contract that they would have first refusal to re-sign Cucurella and could do so for a knock-down price compared to other clubs.
Getafe have put a €25million (£22.3million) release clause in his new contract, although Barca are able to re-sign him for around €15million if they wish (£13.4million).
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are not planning to take up that offer, leaving a number of Premier League clubs to battle for his signature this summer.
Chelsea have been heavily linked, while Arsenal have also been credited with an interest.
And at £22.3million, Cucurella may well prove to be a risk worth taking, given his age. He has scored once and laid on five assists in 26 appearances for Getafe this season, playing mainly off the left-hand side of midfield.
For Chelsea, though, he may not directly solve their left-back problems. He is adept there, but may fall into the same category as both Marcos Alonso and Emerson - very good going forward, but questionable defensively.
The majority of his senior experience has come as a left-sided midfielder or winger, spending his time camped in the opposition half.
