The £12 nail product TikTokers are saying is making their nails super healthy

TikTok has been known to produce viral videos in recent years, but funny videos aren't all that are doing the rounds, as the app has also been known to produce videos exposing all sorts of handy hacks.

Some of the most useful tips to emerge from the social media app are beauty tricks, and this one is particularly good if you're looking to make your nails healthier and stronger. If you're the type of person who regularly heads to the salon for acrylics or SNS, you may be used to seeing your natural nails being left a little worse for wear.

Even though the acrylic options shouldn't actually cause damage to your natural nails, they can be damaged if the acrylics have been applied or removed in a poor way. This can leave your natural nails feeling pretty dry and brittle, which is something nobody wants.

Back when lockdown hit in 2020 and, subsequently, as we moved into 2021, many salons went through a phase of opening and closing, which meant many people went in search of at-home alternatives to maintain some sort of beauty regime. But, as you'd expect, TikTok was already working its magic and found a product early on that can work wonders for your nails.

The product comes in at only £12, and beauty addicts have claimed it's completely transformed the condition of their nails for the better.

Mylee 5-in-1 Builder Gel Peach is priced at £12 (Mylee)

What is the product?

Mylee's Builder Gel comes in at £12 and is a DIY alternative to visiting the salon to have gel nails. In order to use the product it's essential you have an LED lamp to finish each coat, but if you already have one to hand then job's a good 'un.

The product provides a gel-like finish, and there's no need for a base or topcoat. It's also available in four shades including clear, white, light pink and peach.

All the colours will help you well on your way to achieving a perfect French manicure effect. Beauty experts say it's not clear how the polish exactly works to pull off both lengthening and strengthening the nails, but if you follow the instructions as to how to both apply and remove the product by using Mylee's 1-step Magic Gel Remover (and, yes, this product has also done the rounds on TikTok) it appears to deliver some pretty flawless results.

At least the TikTokers are claiming that the polish has had a massive impact on the health of their nails.
